What Is The Medical Term When One Person Can Feel What The Other Feels?

There is a medical term (Name) when a husband and wife or any close relationship, can feel what the other is feeling??? I know there is a term but I don’t know what it is called…. My sister lives in one state and her husband in another, when she is cold, he is, when he is sick, she is, when one has fears the other feels it…. It’s an intense connection they have … does anyone know the name of it?

paulred2 is correct. They are highly empathetic with each other. Best Wishes to You.

If there is such a term it is not medically derived
Though ive heard the same thing happening with twins and the like, it is reasonable to suggest that this is often due to a deep psychological connection with an individual, knowing how the other would react physiologically to various stimuli -environment, conversation etc

Well, I know with pregnancy there is the Couvade syndrome, which basically means that the expecting father experiences some of the same physical and behavioral reactions as the expecting mother during her pregnancy. Maybe it is something like that?
