Laboratory Instruments

I have a B.S. and M.S. in civil and envinronmental engineering, but I think I made the wrong career choice. What would it take for me to get into medical school (in the US)? Do I need an entirely new B.S. degree? Or could I just take some key classes and then apply?

I would like to work in the medical field but prefer doing paperwork over seeing patients. I wouldn’t mind doing some patient work (blood tests, vitals, etc.) but I’d much rather be running the office.
