Are There Any Inexpensive Medical Volunteering Programs In Africa I Can Be Involved With This Summer?

I am a first year medical student, and I am particularly interested in Zambia. The programs I’ve found are very expensive, running more than $2000 plus airfare. I would like a very clinical experience, and I would prefer to be involved with a medical school. Has anyone heard of a program like this anywhere in Africa that I could be a part of?
