I was thinking of asking my doctor about using the pill to control my acne and I was wondering if I’ll need any tests in order to get this. I’ve heard about needing a gynecological (sp?) exam and/or blood tests even if it is just for acne. Is this true?

The cells need to be kept cool until they are ready to accept the plasmid you are transforming them with. If you allow them to warm up, they will start to grow and fewer will be competent and that will lower your transformation efficiency.
