I know I am only 13 but I think of what I want to do when I get older in a career stage. I have thought of psychiatrist, occupational therapist, pediatrician, and recently a medical examiner. As you can see I am in to helping people and making a lot of money!! I want to know how much each gets paid especially the medical examiner. And I know I would love being any of them. This child is 16 and often loses complete control of herself when faced with medical testing, IV placement, and exams. She fights and refuses to be touched, etc. She wants to get better, but her behavior makes it impossible for the average medical team to deal with her. I wonder if there is some kind of mediator or advocate that can help run interference so that the practioners understand her special needs. We have run out of options with the everyday resources. I’m wondering how you go about getting disability pay and free medical care from the government like for regular people with diagnosed mental disorders who are basically unable to perform duties and keep a job and for veterans of wars? I’ve read that’s it’s a complicated process with lots of forms and you have to send back yet another different set of forms to appeal your rejection, which is all but granted the first time you apply.
